Dr. Wiitala, a Washington native, earned his bachelor’s in Biology from Pacific Lutheran University, excelling as a scholar-athlete in collegiate baseball for four years. He received his Doctorate of Dental Surgery from Indiana University in 1999 and has been dedicated to creating beautiful, healthy smiles ever since. He is a member of the American Dental Association, American Academy of Facial Esthetics, and the Arizona Dental Board.
When away from his office, Dr. Wiitala has special interest in health and fitness. An avid snow skier and golfer he truly enjoys the outdoors with his family and friends.

Dr. Wiitala is a great dentist and he and all of his staff are very nice. The office is super clean. I’ve never been to a better dentist office.
I moved to Scottsdale Arizona shortly after graduating dental school in search of the sun and warmer climate. Originally coming from the Pacific Northwest I had my fill of the rain and grey days.
I really enjoy the cosmetic side of dentistry. Being able to change someones smile so they feel more confident brings a lot of joy and satisfaction to my work.
My mindset for treating all my patients is simple. Whatever treatment I would offer a family member is what I do for all my patients. By simply doing the right thing, everyone can feel comfortable with the work they are having done.
Dr. Wiitala, practicing dentistry for over 20 years, graduated from Indiana University School of Dentistry in 1999. He advocates a holistic approach to dentistry, emphasizes nutritional health, and is known for his gentle care. He has extensive training in cosmetic dentistry, sleep apnea, and Botox, and has been recognized as one of the Valley’s Top Dentists by PHOENIX magazine.
